Buying A Kitten

On this page you can view our Stud boys.

We choose our studs on the basis of their strength of boning, coat quality and their pedigrees. Temperament and health are important to us which determined from where we purchased our studs.
We have two working studs at the moment and will soon be joined by our new boy .

Although Odin is no longer with us  he stays on this page as he is the foundation stud cat who has earned his place here.

Champion DK* Elkington's King of the Road

aka Odin

5th Generation forest cat  imported from Denmark

21st March 2001 - 14 May 2011

HCM Normal - 5.0

Odin is no longer with us. He suffered from a digestive disease caused by contaminated pet food. He could no longer go on with any quality of life although he was a very courageous boy and he never complained once. When every possible treatment failed and believe me I tried everything - I made the very hard decision to have him put to sleep 14th May 2011.

Odin is our foundation stud and he has earned pride of place on this page.

Rest in peace my absolute pride and joy. Our tribute to this fine boy will be completed on his own page soon.

Thank you to everyone for the many hundreds of emails and tributes from all over the world.

I am especially touched by one sent to me from Alex in Israel. Alex and Zehavit have a cat from us - he wrote:

Hi Lorraine,

We are so sorry...
We know that Odin meant a great deal to you, and you will miss him a lot.

It was raining this morning in Israel, and it's very unusual to have rain in May,
so there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Now I know why,
God has built the Rainbow Bridge for Odin.
We are crying with you Lorraine…

I asked Alex what time this event took place and he replied:

It was 11:30 Israel time (9:30 U.K time)

Wish we could be with you today...

God bless Odin.

Alex & Zehavit

9.30 was the time I called the vet.

Norgeskaukatt Proveho

Odins last born son to Champion (N) Seltetegen's Magnhidr

We await his development.

6th Generation forest cat - and just 8 generations from the famous Pan's Truls who set the breed standard in Norway all those years ago.

D.o.B    4th October 2010

HCM - to be scanned when appropriate

 Norgeskaukatt Hardanger

6th generation forest cat.

D.o.B  19th May 2011

HCM - to be screened when appropriate

Closed Stud

Hardanger is a son of Grand Champion Norgeskaukatt Skvala and Norgeskaukatt Hecate. This combination pulls together most of our imported lines  and has taken a long time to do - it was well worth the wait. He is a stunning boy with all the qualities a Norwegian Forest cat should have and his boning is fabulous.

We will have this boy out on the show bench in a little while and no doubt in a few months he will be put to work.

We have another two gorgeous stunning boys from very old bloodlines to add here soon. These will be our last breeding males and our next generation of Norgeskaukatt Breeding cats. They will have to be good!
